The
MURS Alert™ system gives you the ability to monitor activity at
several remote locations simultaneously. The MURS Alert™
transmitter operates with a passive infrared sensor technology that will
send an alert signal to the MURS transceivers in order to notify you that
someone or something has crossed the transmitters path.
Up to 4 different alert messages can be set at the transmitter and
when received by the base station or hand held radio, the messages are in
spoken English and also sets an alert icon for visual confirmation.
Because the MURS Alert™ operates using a 2 Watt radio
system, you can monitor locations several miles from the base units.
(Your exact distance will depend upon location and terrain.
Over flat terrain, the MURS Alert™ system has been tested up to 4
miles.) You also have
the added benefit of a two-way radio system when combining two or more base
stations or handheld units.
The
MURS Alert™ base station also has a normally open relay contact
that will close while an alert signal is being received, giving you the
option of adding a wide range of accessories to increase alert
notification.
The
MURS Alert™ has many different applications; it can be used by
homeowners, security guards, small businesses and also by hunters
monitoring game trails; any where that requires immediate notification
when someone or something enters a monitored location. Authorized by the
FCC, MURS (Multi-Use Radio Service) is a license free service that allows
the user to transmit voice and data.
